Under More Admin → General → Cost Centers, you can record your company's costs and services in a structured manner. You can create as many as you need.

Cost centers can be created for individuals/employees, projects, and devices.

For example, a cost center can also be created automatically when a project is created.

Click the +Cost Center button to create a new cost center.

The following entry form opens.

In this example, we are creating a project cost center.

Fill in the required fields ID, Name, and Validity.

The Validity field specifies the time period during which this cost center can be used for posting.

To improve the overview of cost centers, you can also add a custom description to a cost center.

If you want to enable the cost center, check the corresponding box.

You can then use the Availability settings to control which areas the cost center should be available for. Check the boxes here for Projects, Devices, People, Teams, and Inventory so that the cost center can be selected in the modules later.

As usual, complete the creation of a new cost center by clicking Save. You can now assign the cost center to an existing project or select it when creating a new project.
